Peace Corps Armenia: Special Everywhere

July 19, 2019

The smallest girl in my English club stands on her tiptoes to try and reach the board, giving English her very best shot despite being only six and sitting in on her older sister’s class. “Miss Maddy,” An older student whispers, and points at my stickers. Her eyes glitter. “Kareliey?” May I? I nod and … More Peace Corps Armenia: Special Everywhere

Peace Corps Armenia: Dancing and Lights

May 30, 2019

It turns out I don’t have anything against being cliché, so here is my new year’s post anyhow! I post (both here and on Instagram) about a lot … More Year in Wrap 2018: Quicksand Edition

Someone did it on Instagram, so it must be safe, right?
Just a little iPhone shot, from one of the snowiest days of the year.
Thanks SO MUCH to everyone who bought from my print shop last month— it makes me so happy to know that some of my photos have found homes.
I get a lot (a LOT) of messages about kayaking on Lake Superior, and I see even more people who post beautiful pictures of what they probably didn’t realize were incredibly risky situations.
